Notes:
Given by the permanent academician Josep M. Garrut who had become the accidental heir of the sculptor brothers Oslè due to the sudden death of Miquel Oslè’s daughter, the only direct heiress of the artists. This is the plaster of the bust which corresponds to the seated marble statue executed by the Oslè brothers and placed in a vaulted niche at the confluence between Fortuny and Xuclà streets in Barcelona. Although it was originally intended for a site just in front of the Palau de la Virreina in La Rambla it was never placed there. At present the original marble is in a vaulted niche in Pintor Fortuny Street where it is impossible to see the back, even though due to the location for which it was originally commissioned it is as finely modelled as the rest of the statue.
