Provenance: Seminary of the Mission (Fathers Paüls) in Tallers street, Barcelona.
Came to the Academy's Museum: 1814 (?).
Note: It does not appear in the inventory of the works which were brought in in 1835. This fact suggests the work came in from the confiscations which took place during the Napoleonic period. The portrayed (c. 1654 - 1708) was the brother of Manuel de Santjust, bishop of Vic and a supporter of the Austrias' Dinasty. |
