Note: Pérez Sánchez states this is a Neapolitan work which is very closely related to a series of the apostoles which survives in the Academia de San Fernando, Madrid. He dates this present work from about 1630- 40. It belonged, beyond doubt, to an apostolate, as did numbers 741, 742 and 743.
It was on a short-term loan to the Museu Marès of Barcelona. |
