Provenance: Museum of the former Junta de Comerç. On December 13th 1809 a Saint Jerome was confiscated and taken to Llotja together with other paintings coming from the monastery of Sant Josep in Barcelona. Exhibitions: Pamplona-Vitoria-Bilbao-Madrid, RACBASJ. Exposición antológica de pintura, 2000, núm. 6. Note: However, there seems no ground to assure it corresponds to this work. Note: It was considered to be an original by Ribera until the Catàleg de 1866 in which it is listed as a copy; however, the presumable original is unknown. It is related to the Saint Jerome by Osuna (Seville). On loan to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (inv. 11611).
