Provenance: With this work the artist competed against Francesc Jubany, Josep Deparés and Joaquim Planella for a post for teaching Flower Painting at the Escola de Belles Arts de Barcelona on May 23rd 1852. Although Jubany got the post, he died little after and Serra, the second qualified candidate, filled the job.
Note: in 1932 goes on deposit to the Comissió Provincial de Monuments Històrics i Artístics of Barcelona - issue 49 pieces loaned relationship - that years later retrieve.|
