Provenance: It was among the works the artist's father donated to the Acadèmia de Sant Jordi in 1940, which consisted in sixteen paintings by his son.
Came to the Academy's Museum: 1940.
Restauraciones: restaurado por La Pinacoteca en 1940
Exhibitions: Barcelona, VI Exposición Internacional de Arte, 1911, no. 464; Barcelona, Exposició A. Hénault Bassols, Sala Parés, 9-16 May 1914, no. 4 o 8 (?); Barcelona, Banca Jover, June-August 1994.
Note: in the catalogue of 1999 this work was catalogued as Briançon's Landscape, title of the painting that had an honorific mention in the exhibition of 1911. But, on having concluded that both Hénault's landscapes of existing to the academic collection portray places of the environment of this population placed in the Alps, we have chosen to incorporate the title started to the work in the list of paintings of the legacy effected by the father of the author to the Academy, " Landscape at sunset ". |
