Note: For conservation issues, the drawing had to be separated from the timber holder (67.6 x 85.6 cm) that was attached originally, since the tape was damaging the paper -which also has yellowed considerably-, leaving marks in the four corners irreparable. We are not aware Diego Gadir is submitted to any of the other editions of the contest Ynglada-Guillot. Following the granting of this award, Diego Gadir donated to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Catalan Sant Jordi two of his drawings: "Female nude sleeping" (inv. 3871 D) and "Woman with child" (inv. 3925 D). When he draw this line painter uses so hard and at the same time, so gently, you do not need other resources to convey everything you want to express. His work, constructed from the formal transgression, serving different topics but mainly focuses on the female model, who plays a mix of mysticism and sensuality (Artist website: http://www.diegogadir.com /).|
